Due to the handmade nature of the Pith Helmets, please be advised that there may be some minor imperfections in the construction of the hat. These imperfections should not hinder the look or the wear of the helmet.
The hat is made from the cor (pith) of trees that grow in northern Vietnam. They are made one piece at a time. This helmet has the same properties as the other piths that we carry, that being light weight (the 4-ply wood interior is low-density like balsa wood). Immersible in water whereby the wearer stays cool as he/she hikes and the water evaporates.
Brand new, hand made, pith helmets provide protection for the neck and face from sunburn while keeping your head cool. Durable and lightweight. Adjustable headband lets one size fits all.
